Serie A: Juventus vs. AC Milan - match preview
21.11 || webmaster

Juventus will play Milan tonight in a game in which both sides will try to make one more step out of mid-table mediocrity.

Considering the somewhat likely absences of Stephan Lichsteiner and Gianluigi Buffon, Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri has got a fully fit team at his disposal, with no suspended players to boot. The Juventus coach started to field the best possible team lately as well, letting go of the early season experiments that have plagued the club and had a major impact on results.

Once the injury list became lighter, Juve's midfield and defence have started to gel. It was only a matter of time for the defence as the center-backs all know eachother very well but the midfield was a whole different problem as they had to learn how to play this season without one of their most important pieces, Arturo Vidal, which left in the summer for Bayern Munich. The recent string of results are a clear example that the team has started to become more fluid. The team is also looking to get three consecutive wins, a feat last accomplised in April, while also recording four consecutive home wins. A win today would also be the six straight one against Milan, which will help them jump over the Milanese outfit in the table.

Things will not be easy. The Rossoneri have started to develop a proper system under new coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, the club being unbeaten for five straight games. Some players vastly improved since last season, the most notable of them being Alessio Cerci. It remains to be seen whether the ex-Torino winger can maintain form or not.

Giacomo Bonaventura, the key passer of the team, is also set to rejoin the first eleven. His absence was very noticeable against Atalanta, a game in which the club barely managed to obtain a home draw.

Carlos Bacca will be the one to play upfront. He'll be the one trying to beat Juve goalkeeper Neto, who famously debuted this season for the Zebras by conceeding a last minutes equaliser against newly promoted Frosinone.

One should also keep an eye on Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnaruma. The 16 year old is the youngest goalie to ever debut in Serie A and so far has the enviable record of being undefeated in all official games he played. He's had a fantastic game against Atalanta and is saves ratio is only second to Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic. On the other side, Juventus is the team with most shots taken in Serie A.
